Buddy Group

Assists and supports women who have made the decision that they will no longer accept violence or abusive behavior.

Teaches children on how to be safe, free and strong. Focus is child abuse prevention

Women’s Buddy Group

The Women’s Buddy Group provides support for women who have made the decision that they will no longer accept violence or abusive behavior in their lives.

​

The group offers a supportive environment where women can connect with others who may have shared similar experiences, receive encouragement, strengthen their sense of independence, and continue moving toward a safer and healthier future.

Abuse Intervention Program (AIP)

CARA’s Abuse Intervention Program (AIP) is available to men and women and is designed for individuals who have engaged in abusive or harmful behaviors.

​

The program focuses on recognizing patterns of abusive behavior, developing violence-prevention skills, increasing personal accountability, and learning healthier ways to respond within relationships and families.

​

CARA is a New Jersey Department of Children and Families-funded Abuse Intervention Program provider for Cape May County and utilizes the Risk, Needs, Responsivity (RNR) model, which supports individualized assessment and intervention based on each participant’s needs.

​

The AIP is separate from CARA’s survivor support services and focuses specifically on addressing abusive behavior, accountability, and reducing the risk of future harm.
