Residential:  Our Shelter is a safe place to go with your children if you are a victim of domestic violence. The location is confidential.

C.A.R.A.'s RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM MAY BE THE ANSWER...

The Residential Program is a service provided to single women and families.  It is ideal for individuals that can no longer continue to live in their current situation due to domestic violence or threat of domestic violence by their partner, roommate or family member.

If you are in need of a SAFE HAVEN, please do the following:

1.  Get to a safe place (police station, hospital, public facility.
2.  Call our 24 hour hotline at 1-877-294-2272 or 609-522-6489

Once you have made contact we will do an initial screening to ensure that you are in need of a safe haven as well as whether or not we are the safest alternative.

WHAT DOES THE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM HAVE TO OFFER?

1.  Comfortable communal living in a house like setting.
2.  Counseling and support.
3.  Advocacy in ensuring that you are aware of all the resources that are available.
4.  Tools to start you journey to independence from violence.
5.  Educational, financial and housing support.

HOW LONG CAN I STAY?

Each stay varies, however the average time is approximately two months.
